Imagine my surprise, whilst checking out notifications on our new AIMCLEAR Facebook Page, when I noticed not one but TWO ads from Chitika, Inc on my right hand sidebar. Hmmm. They had the same count of likes, same headline, etc…
I clicked on each, only to discover that both pointed at exactly the same URL. How does this happen? Is Chitika gaming Facebook by running Facebook Ads from two different accounts? Probably not we think, as Chitika is a reputable company. Or, is this a flaw in the system, a bug that can be somehow exploited? Either way, it didn’t seem Kosher to us.
The links’ URL variables have a number of differences. Only Facebook knows exactly what these variables mean.

Can two different admins’ market the same FB page from different FB accounts and place similar ads on the same page? We tested it. You can too. What do you think the results were? Is this an isolated fluke-bug, gaming, or a gaping hole in FB Ads? We’ll never tell!
Happy weekend everybody!
