Day 1 of Search Engine Strategies New York certainly lived up to expectations. The sessions were excellent, the city is spectacular, and I was fortunate enough to meet up with a large number of new and old friends. The day ended for most with a St. Paddy’s day pub crawl, primarily through Irish bars :).
Day 2 is shaping up to be equally exciting. I’m personally live blogging some of the Local search sessions, which I’m really looking forward to. The full agenda for today can be found here. As I mentioned yesterday, there is a sense of anticipation here. Everyone waiting to see who they’ll meet next, and what they’ll learn in the next session. I’m also very struck by the constant smell of ball park hot dogs in the streets. Sorry SEOsFightFat … they’re calling me!

People are starting to funnel in now, and grab some quick coffee to power themselves much as cars need to be fueled. Today’s opening keynote will be given by Nick Carr, author of ‘The Big Switch’. Today will cap off with the IM-NY charity party.
Stay tuned … lots of good posts to come today!
