San Jose shimmers in radiant pre-dawn light this SearchEngineStrategies San Jose morning, as incandescent energy pulses from the heart of legendary Silicon Valley. Technology icons including Hewlett-Packard, Adobe and BEA Systems call this area home and the GooglePlex is just a short commuter rail ride north to Mountain View. This week, along with thousands of search marketing peers, San Jose is my home away from home.
Search evolves at nearly the speed of light, with major developments coming every week (sometimes every day). Our industry has exploded into the mainstream, from the nerdy halls of geekdom, and it’s crucial to stay tuned in. Conferences are an important piece of the training puzzle which is why AIMCLEAR team members and I attend, cover and or speak at more than 10 each year. SearchEngineStrategies San Jose is an annual “must go, must do” event for us along with many industry insiders.
This year’s agenda looks wonderful, electric, packed with more than 70 sessions spanning PPC management, SEO, video optimization, usability, social media, local/mobile, keyword research, link strategies, multiple site issues and more.
There could hardly be a more appropriate host city for Incisive Media’s classic August conclave. “SES SJ” is a coveted institution having earned a rare combination of status, organizational prowess and an enviable attendance history, by a decade of commitment to total search marketing immersion, education and oh that incredible speakers list (which I’m proud to be part of).
Look for AIMCLEAR‘s conference coverage from bloggers Merry Morud, Lisa Williams & Derek Edmond. Our friend Barry Schwartz, over at SEORoundTable, will provide cool live blogging all week. Other conference coverage includes TopRank, SearchEngineWatch and SearchEngineLand.
The San Jose McEnery Convention Center is an impressive venue with all the amenities. I can’t think of a cooler place to immerse in the most current information.
